There are times in your life when you feel like everything is going perfect. Well at the very least, almost perfect. When everything comes to a standstill, and for that one moment, all your problems fade away, and all your worries are left for another day. For some, that moment comes when you gaze upon the face of a baby sleeping soundly, all cuddled up in the comforts of his/her cot. For others, that moment comes when you count the tiniest stars winking away brightly in the darkest of night skies. For me, one of those moments come when I’m surrounded by nature, in its loveliest forms.

Heavenly white peppered with subtle sprinkles of lavender, peeking through the smallest of crevices. Something that marked the end of my varsity life, and signified the beginning of my adulthood, so to speak. I wanted to relive that moment today.

I opted for a variation of the oftmentioned Nutella Swirl cupcake; this time the butter cupcake was swirled with blackberry conserve — my take on a more adult-looking cupcake. I said adult-looking simply because the lack of chocolate/nutella or any other sugar-rush-inducing elements of sorts in this cupcake would deceive people into thinking it is only for adults. But one bite into the cupcake, and the subtlety of the blackberries come through, sending you back to your childhood memories of finding simple pleasures in freshly-baked Victoria sandwich cakes.
