peanut butter & chocolate combo

As mentioned in the previous entry, I was itching to bake. I needed a quick and easy recipe before heading for school in the afternoon; something that I could bring along for munching in class. And so, I ended up with peanut butter muffins with chocolate chips.

I’m not that huge a fan of peanut butter, but anything with chocolate in them would earn brownie points with me, of course. And suffice to say, twas enough to satiate my itch to bake, and my hunger pangs in school. The muffins were more of the dense and cakey sort, so if you’re a fan of peanut butter and/or chocolate, and need a quick and easy recipe, this is the one for you.

250g flour
85g sugar
1 1/2 tbspn baking powder
60g butter, melted
1 egg
175ml milk
150g chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 200C.
2. Sift flour, sugar, and baking powder.
3. Add peanut butter and mix until you have a bowl of coarse crumbs.
4. Add melted butter and egg into the milk, then stir the mixture into the bowl.
5. Mix in the chocolate chips.
6. Bake 200C for 20-25mins.
