Came home early from school today because lecture was ultra boring because I was feeling under the weather, with the incessant coughs and threatening nausea. The initial plan was to simply lay in bed and whine away in my head. But since I was already feeling better, I decided to whip up something in the name of whetting my appetite. And one can never go wrong with chocolate chip cookies, can they?

The good thing about baking cookies is that they’re not cumbersome. Heck, even the ugliest-looking cookies may very well turn out to be one of the better tasting ones! But possibly the one thing I love most about baking cookies is the clean empty mixing bowl I’m left with after all the cookies are in the oven. It makes you feel like you’ve squeezed the bowl dry of all possible cookies in the works. And of course, the cleaning-up at the end of the day becomes such a breeze
The cookies had a nice buttery taste, and were crispy yet not dry. The amount of chocolate chips were just sufficient to appease the chocolate-lovers but not too overpowering to deter the non-chocolate-crazy. All in all, this is a keeper even though it’s unfortunately one of those fridge recipes I know not the origin of. Hehe.
